Costs for parts originating in the Far East increased dramatically. The increase is caused by a general shortage of electronic parts and recently raised shipping costs. In addition, the tax exclusion for goods below 20 € was dropped. Custom fees have to be paid now for all goods.
My cost calculations contain a very shallow uplift, so I have to raise prices to cover for the increase in external costs.
The Buzzer family got a new member. This buzzer is connected through USB by cable. It acts as a USB HID keyboard or mouse. It extends the existing range of Booth Buzzers.

Once more, the German Ministry of Justice celebrated a further milestone in digitizing their juridical workflows. The Minister of Justice, Herbert Mertin himself launched the new system in Bad Kreuznach by pushing a Bluetooth Buzzer.

I designed a new version of the RF-603 based buzzer. The housing now looks exactly like the one of the Bluetooth BLE based buzzer. The flat design is more stable and looks pretty good. It contains an RF-603 transceiver that is powered by two AAA batteries. Both channel selector and main switch are accessible through the housing bottom.
The Ministry of Justice in the German province Rheinland-Pfalz introduced an end-to-end electronic processing of lawsuits. They celebrated the start by a symbolic launch of the system.
The Minister of Justice, Herbert Mertin himself pushed the button.

Oh yes, Mr. President. My buzzer is bigger than yours. Its working, and it makes people happy. It trigggers a camera instead of nuclear weapons. It brings fun and happiness without killing somebody.
It is horrible to watch a few madmen to spread fear and violence while starting wars. We can’t fence our nice little world good enough. One day war will be on our doorstep. The same war we already allowed for too long to exist. I therfore say a loud and clear NO to war and violence in any form. No matter if it is lead in the name of a god or for any kind of good cause. This madness has to stop now or our world will burst out in flames you won’t be able to control anymore.

I re-designed my booth buzzer. It now features a Bluetooth LE module that is powered by a LiPo battery. Charging is done through USB.
The buzzer is user-configurable to send a mouse click or keyboard click to any device with Bluetooth LE connectivity.
